Why should we care about AI decision responsibility?

First of all – AI as a technology is still evolving and there are many areas we have legal, regulatory, oversight or governance gaps. The grey areas of AI dilemmas are not easy to resolve.

Second – we still must assume the human should have the final control of decision making as AI has no emotions, or morals and this is what our entire justice system is based on.

Third – AI is scaling at a rate that allows no mistakes. If we need to be thoughtful and patient in this process, we need the humans and the institutions that create, design, deploy or encourage adoption and use of AI to take responsibility.
